I made an appointment with my Elementary Education Math instructor last week, to discuss what requirements were necessary in math for an Elementary Education major. I asked him how many math courses I needed to take, and were there any that focused on lower grade education instead of K-8. He told me that there were in all three math courses I needed to take, the one I was in, one I am taking next semester, and one in my junior year. In addition, he told me no courses focused only on early elementary grades, only preschool courses. His office hours are between 2 and 3 on Mondays and Wednesdays, and 11-noon on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
