Success, Failure

The greatest success that I had in college was to achieve all my goals. I had set three goals for myself, the first was to not flunk out of college; besides my INQ grade, which is just mediocre, I had an honor roll performance in the all my classes. The second goal I had was to play rugby in college. It was a huge part of my high school life, and I wanted it to continue being a part of my life. Therefore, at the first club fair, I signed up for rugby, and before the end of my first semester, I was starting on a Div. 1 college rugby team. The third goal was to lose some of my bad habits. One of my worst habits was I could and did eat a family size bag of skittles in a sitting on a regular basis. That was not only disgusting in every way it was also incredibly unhealthy. The first thing I did when I got here was to start making better food choices, which I have stuck with. The second habit I had to break was procrastination. I tried to write a ten-page research paper for my history class my junior year, naturally I got a forty one on it, and then delayed so long to do the rewrite, that I lost the opportunity to change my grade. This I could not allow in college, so I bought myself a whiteboard so I could keep track of my assignments, and it has worked so far.
My biggest failure in college was not keeping my workout regimen that I had been on for two years. My justification was that I would get a workout in rugby and I wanted to be acquainted with college life first. Turns out that all my motivation and discipline came from my daily workout, and when I stopped that, I lost all focus. Anyone could tell when I started again, I started getting on top of work, and staying focused on schoolwork. It is not the same as it was last year, but it is a start.
